Crisis Intervention
If you are experiencing acute stress, quickly available psychotherapeutic support can be very helpful and sometimes even necessary to avoid hospitalization.
A crisis can be triggered by a variety of things (separation, death, accident, job loss, worsening of a mental illness, etc.) and is associated with extremely high psychological stress. People in a crisis find it increasingly difficult to find solutions and ways out, as their thinking is often restricted and their emotions are dominated by helplessness and hopelessness. Even if this feeling is only temporary, it is so difficult to bear that for some people, death seems like the only way out. Suicidal thoughts are common in times of crisis, but unfortunately, those affected often find it difficult to talk about them due to fear, worry, or shame.
In crisis intervention sessions, you can talk about your worries and fears in a safe and supportive environment. By expressing your feelings, you will experience emotional relief, and we will work together to develop solutions for you. This provides concrete support to gradually overcome the crisis.
Crisis intervention sessions can be arranged at short notice and then usually take place at an increased frequency (2-3 times per week) over a period of a few weeks.
